Why We Verify Your Identity
GrandClub verifies your identity to comply with legal requirements and protect both you and our platform. Identity verification prevents fraud, money laundering, and ensures only eligible players access our services. This process helps us maintain a secure gaming environment and meets our obligations under anti-money laundering regulations and our gambling license.
Verification also protects your account from unauthorized access and helps us process withdrawals efficiently. When we know who you are, we can better assist you with account issues and ensure your winnings reach the correct person.
What KYC (Know Your Customer) Means
Know Your Customer (KYC) refers to the process of verifying customer identities and assessing potential risks. This includes confirming your name, address, date of birth, and other identifying information against official documents. KYC procedures help us understand who our customers are and ensure they meet legal requirements for online gambling.
The process involves collecting and verifying documents that prove your identity, address, and payment methods. We may also conduct enhanced due diligence for certain customers based on risk factors or regulatory requirements.
When Verification Is Required
We require verification before processing your first withdrawal, though we may request documents at any time. Verification is mandatory when you deposit or withdraw amounts above certain thresholds, use new payment methods, or if we detect unusual account activity.
Additional verification may be triggered by changes to your personal information, large transaction amounts, or if our systems flag your account for review. Some jurisdictions require verification before you can place any bets, regardless of deposit amounts.
Documents You May Be Asked to Provide
The specific documents required depend on your location and the verification level needed. Common requirements include government-issued photo identification, proof of address dated within the last three months, and verification of your payment methods.
All documents must be clear, legible, and show all four corners. Screenshots, photocopies of photocopies, or heavily edited images are not acceptable. We accept documents in common formats including PDF, JPEG, and PNG files.
Proof of Identity
Acceptable identity documents include a valid passport, national identity card, or driver's license. The document must be government-issued, current, and clearly show your full name, date of birth, photograph, and expiration date.
Your identity document must match the name on your GrandClub account exactly. If your legal name has changed due to marriage or other circumstances, you may need to provide additional documentation such as a marriage certificate or deed poll.
Proof of Address
Address verification requires a recent document showing your full name and current residential address. Acceptable documents include utility bills, bank statements, council tax bills, or official government correspondence dated within the last 90 days.
Mobile phone bills, credit card statements, and insurance documents are also accepted. The address must match the one registered on your account. Post office boxes and business addresses are not acceptable for residential address verification.
Payment Method Verification
You must verify ownership of all payment methods used on your account. For credit or debit cards, provide a clear image showing the first six and last four digits, your name, and expiration date. Cover the middle digits and CVV code for security.
Bank account verification requires a statement or screenshot showing your name, account details, and the bank's name. For e-wallets and digital payment services, provide screenshots showing your name and account details from within the service's app or website.
Source of Funds and Enhanced Due Diligence
We may request additional documentation to verify the source of your funds, particularly for large deposits or withdrawals. This might include employment letters, business ownership documents, inheritance papers, or investment account statements.
Enhanced due diligence applies to politically exposed persons, customers from high-risk jurisdictions, or those with complex financial profiles. This process involves additional background checks and may require more detailed financial documentation.
The Verification Process and Timeframes
Standard verification typically takes 24-72 hours once we receive all required documents. Complex cases or enhanced due diligence may take longer. We review documents in the order received and contact you if additional information is needed.
During busy periods or if documents require clarification, processing may extend beyond standard timeframes. You can check your verification status in your account dashboard and will receive email updates on your application progress.
Keeping Your Documents Safe
GrandClub employs advanced security measures to protect your personal information. Documents are stored on encrypted servers with restricted access limited to authorized verification staff. We comply with data protection regulations including GDPR where applicable.
Your documents are retained only as long as legally required and are securely destroyed when no longer needed. We never share your personal information with unauthorized third parties and use your data solely for verification and compliance purposes.
Anti-Money Laundering Compliance
Our verification procedures form part of our anti-money laundering (AML) compliance program. We monitor transactions for suspicious patterns and report unusual activity to relevant authorities as required by law. This includes tracking large cash transactions, rapid deposit and withdrawal patterns, and other potentially suspicious behavior.
AML compliance protects the integrity of the financial system and helps prevent criminal activity. Your cooperation with verification requests assists us in meeting these important legal obligations.
Age Verification and Protecting Minors
All customers must be at least 18 years old or the minimum legal gambling age in their jurisdiction, whichever is higher. Age verification is mandatory and occurs during the identity verification process. We take underage gambling prevention seriously and immediately close accounts belonging to minors.
If we discover a customer is underage, we confiscate any winnings and return only the original deposits to the payment source. We also implement measures to prevent the individual from creating new accounts.
If Verification Is Delayed or Unsuccessful
If verification is unsuccessful, we explain the reasons and what additional documentation or steps are required. Common issues include blurry images, expired documents, or mismatched information between documents and account details.
Accounts remain restricted until verification is complete. If you cannot provide required documents or verification ultimately fails, we may close your account and return any remaining balance according to our terms and conditions.
